Winona Faye Hull

Winona Hull, age 86, died on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Pioneer Manor in Hugoton, Kansas.

She was born on October 8, 1938, to Grant and Ester (Ogan) Apsley in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Raised in the Southern Baptist Faith Church, Winona’s faith served as a guiding light throughout her life, instilling in her values of compassion and kindness.

Her journey began in the small town of Tyrone and later moving to Hugoton where she graduated from Hugoton High School. Winona embarked on a career that showcased her intelligence and versatility. She served as a Teletype Operator for the Western Union, and she continued to contribute her talents as a Composition Operator for the Hugoton Hermes. Winona also played an important role as a part-time clerk at the Rolla Post Office and found joy in serving others as a Para for USD480. Yet, beyond her professional pursuits, Winona embraced her most sacred calling: that of being a loving homemaker, devoted mother, and grandmother.
