Willard Dean Palmgren

Willard Dean Palmgren, age 78, died October 20, 2011 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS. He was born August 4, 1933 in Levant, KS, the son of Willard Orin and Hallie Marie (Close) Palmgren. He graduated in 1951 from Levant High School, Levant, KS. He was self employed as an auto mechanic. He was member of the Masonic Lodge #406 of Hugoton, Kansas, the Midian Shrine of Wichita, KS and rode with the Midian Shrine Golden Cycles.On November 10, 1951, he married Myrtle Mae Searls in Colby, KS. She survives.Other survivors include4 Sons Daniel Gene Palmgren and wife Joan, Satanta, KS; Dale Wayne Palmgren and wife Linda, Hutchinson, KS; Sammy Lynn Palmgren and wife Susan, Plano, TX and Keith Leon Palmgren and wife Mary, San Antonio, TX. 5 Brothers Larry Palmgren and wife Fran, New Jersey; Garry Palmgren and wife Martha, Cañon City, CO; Chuck Palmgren and wife Linda, Huntington Beach, CA; Don Palmgren and wife Gail, Cañon City, CO and Denny Palmgren and wife Beth, Virginia. 1 Sister Brenda Smith and husband Chuck, Colorado Springs, CO. 8 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 Son Steven Dean Palmgren and 1 Grandson Cory Daniel Palmgren.Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Gerry Dupuis presiding. Masonic Rites will be given by the Hugoton Masonic Lodge #406. Cremation has taken place and a private family Inurnment will take place at a later date.
