Wanda Joyce Shelton

Wanda Joyce Shelton, age 53, departed this life on Monday, October 18, 2021, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas. She was born on, April 1, 1968, in Marlin, Texas the daughter of Dorothy Vaughan and Joseph Vaughan. She lived in Liberal, Kansas with her husband Rodney Love Sr. and her son, Rodney Love III. Wanda graduated from Liberal High School in 1986 and went on to pursue her career at Liberal Good Samaritan, where she worked her way up to being the Dietary Supervisor. She was employed at Liberal Good Samaritan for 35 years and retired last year in November. She was a peaceful, beautiful, hard-working women who brought joy to all who had the pleasure of meeting her. Wanda was a devoted Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. She loved her family and friends but most of all she loved her Grandbabies, Jeremiah and Elijah, when they came into this world, they became her world, and she became their world, her love for them will be with them forever. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, Her husband, Rodney Love Sr. (Son) Rodney Love III, his wife Maria, Grandchildren, Jeremiah Love and Elijah Love, her Mother, Dorothy Vaughan, her Grandmother, Nel Jefferson, her Sister, Lamikia Shelton, Sister-in-law, Doris Johnson, Brother-in-law, Gene Love, friends, Aleisa Love, Vicky Love and Kathy Pugh, and a host of Uncles, Aunts, Nephews, and Nieces. Wanda was preceded in death by two sons, Patrick Lee Love, and Rodney Lee Love II, and her sister, Felicia Holmes Visitation will be from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM, on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, the family will be present from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM to receive friends. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 29, 2021, at the All Nations Church, 605 E. 15th Street, Liberal, Kansas with Pastor Mary Washington officiating and Elder Lawrence Johnson as Master of Ceremonies.
