Terry Lynn Adams, 61, died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, in Omaha.He was born October 25, 1951, at Quinter, KS, to Harold Vernon and Elda Eileene (Holmes) Adams.He graduated from Hoxie High School in 1969. He attended Garden City Community College and later received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from the University of Kansas. He also played football for the KU Jayhawks as a defensive lineman. He earned his Masters in Educational Administration from the Wichita State University and additional District certification from Pittsburg State. He taught and coached high school football at Hoxie, WaKeeney, and Pratt Skyline. He was a principal at West Franklin High School, in Pomona, Kansas for 13 years. He moved to Liberal in 2003, where he was Assistant Principal at Liberal High School, then, in 2006, became Director of Technology. He retired in 2011.He enjoyed spending time with family, golf, watching KU sports, travel and computers.He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, and a past sponsor of Ottawa Suzuki Strings. He married Vicki L. Kollmeyer, on August 2, 1980, at Denver, Colorado. Andrew Wehling, officiating.Burial will be in Liberal Cemetery.Visitation will be 1-8 p.m., Thursday, March 14, and 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Friday, March 15 at Brenneman Funeral Home. The family will be present to receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday.In lieu of flowers and plants, the family has requested Memorial Contributions be made to the Terry L.
