Rosemary Weaver

Rosemary Weaver, age 82, died Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Society in Liberal, Kansas. She was born on August 26, 1939, the daughter of Herschel Hoffman and Verda (Turpin) Hoffman in Liberal, Kansas. Rosemary graduated in 1957 from Liberal High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Seward County Treasurer. On June 6, 1959, she married Jim Carter, in Perryton, Texas, he preceded her in death on November 12, 1994. On June 9, 2005, Rosemary married Larry Weaver in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Rosemary was a wonderful quilter, very hard working, and a great housekeeper. She was a beautiful lady, always well dressed in hair and jewelry to match. Rosemary was a member of the Red Hat Society. She will always be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother by her family and friends. Survived by Her husband, Larry Weaver of Liberal, Kansas Four sons, Chad Weaver of Liberal, Kansas, Dale Weaver and his wife, Maria of Tyrone, Oklahoma, Dan Weaver of Wichita, Kansas and Travis Weaver and his wife Crystal of Noble, Oklahoma Three daughters, Jennifer Willimon and her husband, Alton of Denver, Colorado, Jayme Barrowman and her husband, Stan of Liberal, Kansas, and Shannan Sullivan and her husband, Jeff of Garden City, Kansas. Two brothers, Basil Hoffman and his wife, Lana of Newalla, Oklahoma and Jim Hoffman and his wife, Beverly of New Braunfels, Texas. Preceded in death by both her parents, Herschel and Verda Hoffman, her grandson, Matt Carter and her infant sister, Dorothy Hoffman. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Monday, November 8, 2021, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas. The family will be present from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM to receive friends. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church, 1550 N. Western, Liberal, Kansas with Rev. Neil Foster presiding. Interment will follow at the Liberal Cemetery.
