Richard Yorio

Richard Yorio, age 20, died Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS.He was born May 16, 1993 in Liberal, KS, the son of Daniel Yorio and Kathy Hoddy Yorio. He has been a lifelong Liberal resident and graduated from Liberal High School in 2011. While in High School he worked for the Liberal Air Museum.Even though Richard lived with a developmental disability he was high functioning. He had a love for music, reading, video games especially Mario, cars, semi trucks and his greatest treasure was being able to name any old beat up Chevy. He was an honorary Member of the Liberal HOG (Harley Owners Group).Survivors includeFather and Step-Mother Daniel and Vicky Yorio of Liberal, KS, Mother and Step-Father Kathy and Sean Grandy of Hooker, OKBrother Brandon Yorio of Liberal, KS. Preceded in death by his Grandfather Patrick Yorio. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at the Seward County AG Building with Pastor Bill Prater presiding. Burial will take place at Restlawn Cemetery.Visitation time will be 1-8 pm Saturday and 1- 5 pm Sunday at Brenneman Funeral Home with the family to greet friends on Sunday.In lieu of flowers and plants memorials may be sent to Southwest Miracles Inc in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
