Raul Nieto

Raul Nieto, age 63, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at his residence in Liberal, Kansas.He was born May 5, 1948 in LaRegina, Julimez, Chihuahua, Mexico, the son of Alejandro and Maria del Soccoro (Lopez) Nieto.He had been a Liberal resident for 29 years. He had worked at Midwestern Oil Service and at Patrick Well Service now known as Best Well Service. He was a member of St Anthony Catholic Church. He loved to travel to Mexico for visits. He enjoyed the outdoors working with his vegetable garden and fruit trees. Avid sports enthusiast teaching his grandsons to bat in baseball and swim. On January 24, 1981, he married Maria M. Carrasco at LaRegina, Julimez, Chih, Mexico. She survives. Other survivors include:1 Daughter: Erica Zamora and husband Jose R. Nieto Ulysses, KS3 Sisters: Rosa Garcia El Rancho de los Garcias, Mexico Isidra “Chila” Flores Nebraska Raquel Hernandez Ulysses, KS2 Grandsons Jose M. Zamora Raul G. Zamora Several Nephews and NiecesHe was preceded in death by his father. Vigil and Rosary will be 7:00 pm Thursday, July 21st at St. Anthony Catholic Church.Funeral Mass will be10:00 am Friday, July 22nd at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Fr. James P. Dieker presiding. Burial will follow at Liberal Cemetery.Visitation will be from 9 am – 5 pm Thursday at Brenneman Funeral Home in Liberal.
