Myrna Velasquez Marin

Myrna Velasquez Marin, 51, died Sunday, August 9, 2020 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
She was born December 3, 1968 in Mexico, the daughter of Hector Manuel Gallardo and Estela Velasquez.
She married her husband, Jose Marin, in 1984 in Juarez, Mexico.

Myrna had many wonderful qualities about her. She loved to sing Christian Music and make people laugh. Her favorite thing to do was host family gatherings where she would make her most famous foods. Everyone loved her cooking. She was extremely proud of her grandchildren and loved her children so much. Her family meant everything to her.

Myrna was the beloved mother of sons, Francisco (Christal) Marin of Odessa, Texas, Isaac Marin, and Joshua Marin both of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and daughters, Claudia Marin and Virginia Marin also of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She was the extremely proud grandma of 11 grandchildren, Jassiel Marin, Myrna Marin, Catherine Marin, Gissel Marin, Emilio Marin, Maximiliano Marin, Javier Marin, Estela Marin, Daira Marin, Caleb Marin, and Alexis Marin.

Myrna is survived by her loving husband, Jose Marin of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and parents, Hector Manuel Gallardo and Estela Velasquez of Juarez, Mexico.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 15, 2020 and Sunday, August 16, 2020, both from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Street, in Liberal, Kansas. The Funeral Service will be Monday, August 17, 2020 at 10:00 AM also at the Hornung Family Funeral Home. A burial will follow the services at Restlawn Cemetery, 8955 Hwy 83, in Liberal, Kansas.
