Marvalene Underwood, 83, died, Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal, KS.She was born January 1, 1930 in Fox, Oklahoma, the daughter of Clyde P. and Irene (Newman) Bryant. She graduated from Fox High School in Fox, Oklahoma. She has been a resident of Liberal, KS for many years. She was a homemaker.She is a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and enjoyed flower gardening and refinishing furniture. On January 23, 1948, she married Leon Nathan Underwood in Gainsville, Texas. He survives. Other survivors include:1 Son: Steve Underwood and Beth Coldwater, Kansas; 1 Daughter: Debra Busby and husband Larry Liberal, Kansas; 1 Brother: K.D. Bryant Emery, Texas;1 Sister: Linda Smith and husband Butch Rockhill, South Carolina 9 Grandchildren: Kenneth Mansell, Larry Dean Busby Jr., Lori Busby, Albert Montes, Becki Downs, Steven Underwood, Cora Underwood, Slade Underwood and Stetsen Underwood. 8 Great-GrandchildrenShe is preceded in death by her Parents, a Daughter Toni Montes, Brother Clyde Bryant Jr. and Sister Mona Temple.Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Prater presiding.
