Luis Gerardo Holguin Rios, age 25, died Wednesday, July 26, 2023, in Oklahoma.

He was born on November 21, 1997, in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Gerardo Holguin and Claudia Rios. 

Luis worked for National Beef and for KBK in Liberal, Kansas.

He is survived by his son, Luis Sebastian Holguin of Liberal, father, Gerardo Holguin (Mari) of Liberal, mother, Claudia Rios (Joe) of Liberal, brothers, Antonio Rios of Liberal, Ivan Rios of Liberal, Gerardo Holguin of Liberal, Angel Minjarez (Sophia) of Pennsylvania, and Azriel Minjarez (Andrea) of Kansas City, Kansas.

Visitation will be 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W 2^nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.

Rosary will follow at 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM, Friday, August 4, 2023, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas.  Mass will be celebrated by Reverend Augustine.

A burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
