Lonnie E. Pittser, age 82, died on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal, Kansas. He was born on July 11, 1939, the son of Earl Eston Pittser and Bridget Marie Zorn in Barton County Kansas. Lonnie married Mary Ann Sallee on October 14, 1961, in Liberal, Kansas. Together they raised one son, Buddy and two daughters, Karen, and Sarah. Lonnie worked many years in the oilfield as a driller, derrick hand, and floorhand. He also worked as a mechanic and for feedyards. Lonnie enjoyed his retirement days by boating, fishing, and wood working. His wood working projects included rocking horses for his grandchildren, quilt holders and what-not shelves. Lonnie became a member of the church of Christ in October 2018. Survived by: His wife, Mary Ann Pittser His son, Buddy (Shawna) Pittser, all of Liberal, Kansas His two daughters, Karen (Scott) Wolf of Turpin, Oklahoma And Sarah (Dennis) White of Claude, Texas One sister, Ronna Duerson, Liberal, Kansas Six grandchildren, Michael (Ashlee) Beckett, Roy “Jamie” (Lauren) Beckett, David “Tyler” (Rachel) Pittser, Kaisha (Josh) Miller, Rebekah (Nik) Baucom, and Aiden White Four great grandchildren, Owen Beckett, Noah Brazille, Kateri Pittser, and Baby Boy Miller and by several brothers in law and sisters in law and numerous nieces and nephews. Lonnie was preceded in death by Both his parents, Earl and Bridget Pittser His son, David Brian Pittser Sister, Donna Michaelis And several brothers in law and sisters in law Visitation will be 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Street Liberal, Kansas Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM Friday, July 30, 2021, at Grant Street church of Christ 2501 N. Grant Avenue, with Minister Skip Francis presiding Interment will follow at the Forgan Cemetery in Forgan, Oklahoma.
