Lisa Diane Foster

Lisa Diane Foster, age 44, died on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, in Liberal, Kansas.

She was born on November 24, 1980, in Caney, Kansas, to Paul Merritt and Kay (Ranes) Merritt. 

Lisa graduated from Caney Valley High School in Caney, Kansas. She went on to Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, Kansas, Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and the University of Texas in Austin, Texas. Lisa received her Master’s Degree and taught the 4th grade for USD480 in Liberal, Kansas. She was united in marriage to Jeremy Foster on May 20, 2000, in Dewey, Oklahoma. Lisa was the loving mother of two daughters, Elizabeth and Paige. She was much loved by family, friends, and students.  

She is survived by her husband, Jeremy Foster,

Her mother, Kay Merritt of Coffeyville, Kansas,

Father, Paul Merritt, of Las Vegas, Nevada,

Stepmother, Armida Merritt of Las Vegas, Nevada, 

Daughters, Elizabeth Foster of Liberal, Kansas, and

Paige Foster of Liberal, Kansas, and

Brother, Paul Merritt of Coffeyville, Kansas.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents.

Funeral Services will be 5:00 PM, Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home Chapel, 1212 W. 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.
