Leon Paul Hale

Leon Paul Hale 86, died, Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS.He was born April 1, 1926 at Range, OK the son of Ira Jay and Maggie (Morris) Hale. He graduated from Hardesty High School in Hardesty, OK. He has been a longtime Liberal resident.He is the co-owner of Brier & Hale Music Co. for the past 57 years. He is a member of the Liberal Friends Church and Kansas Music Merchants Association and former member of the Liberal Lions Club and Rotary Club. On Aug 20, 1950 he married Betty L. Rowan in Liberal, KS. She survives.He served in the US Army from 1946 to 1947.Other Survivors include1 Daughter Alisa Henderson and husband Scott. Liberal, KS2 Sisters Lorene Thomas Borger, TX Pam Crim Lubbock, TX2 Grandchildren Tyler Henderson and Emily Henderson.Preceded in death by parents 3 brothers and 2 sisters.Funeral will be held at 10:00 am Monday at the Liberal Friends Church with Pastor Randy Thornburg presiding.
