Leo Jerome "L.J." French

Leo Jerome “L.J.” French, age 59, died Sept. 11, 2011 at his residence in Liberal, KS. He was born December 29, 1951 in Liberal, KS, the son of Donald and Eva (Wiggians) French. He was a 1970 graduate from Liberal High School and attended Ft. Hays State University. He learned to sell cars from Herb Lungren, in Hays, KS. He also graduated from the World Wide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, Iowa. He was self employed in automotive sales and auctioneering. He was an avid car enthusiast and was a member of the Roush Mustang Organization. On Nov. 14, 1979 he married Linda Storm at Breckinridge CO they divorced.On Jan. 15, 2000 he married Jaemie Balding Las Vegas, NV. She died Sept. 15, 2010. Survivors include Father Don French, Grove, OK; 2 Sons Ryan Wilhoit and wife A.J. Washington; Nick Robbins and wife Bonnie, Rantoul, KS; 2 Daughters Jessie French, Delta, CO; Tammy Cline and husband Brandon, Glen Elder, KS; 1 Sister Joan French and husband Chris, Grove, OK; 1 Nephew Hunter Ramsey, Grove, OK; 4 Grandchildren Chase Robbins, Elizabeth Cline, Emma Cline and William Cline.He was preceded in death by Mother Eva French and two Sisters Annette and Rena French.Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011 at Western Avenue Church of Christ with Ron Davis presiding. Cremation has taken place and Inurnment will be at a later date. The register book will be available to sign from 9 to 5 pm Tuesday and 9 am to noon Wednesday at Brenneman Funeral Home.
