Brenneman Funeral Home1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901620-624-5647 Photo No Hutch News Free Format Cheyenne, Wyoming John Willie Hopkins Jr. 76, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at his residence in Cheyenne, WY.He was born Oct. 8, 1935 in Lelia Lake, TX the son of John Willie & Myrtle (Cotton) Hopkins.He was raised in Liberal and graduated from Liberal High School.He had joined the US Air Force and retired after 30 years of service. He also worked for the VA Administration in Cheyenne for several years. He is survived by1 Son Harold Mosley St. Louis, Missouri3 Daughters Terri Gildon Wichita, KS Tracey Dolan Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England Charlotte Johnson Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England11 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews. He is preceded in death by his Parents, son Michael John Hopkins, brother Charles Dean Hopkins and sister Janet Smith.Graveside service will be held at 3:30 pm Friday at Liberal Cemetery with Rev. Lawrence Johnson presiding. Military honors will be given by the McConnell Air Force Base Honor Guard.
