Jesus Leyva,

Jesus Leyva, Sr., 73, died November 12, 2014 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS. He was born August 15, 1941, in Rodriquez Nuevo Leon, Mexico, the son of Crispin and Belen (Aguero) Leyva. He married Paulina Pardo de Leyva in 1974. She died January 24, 2014. He was employed at National Beef Packing Company for 11 years. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Liberal, KS. Other survivors include 5 Sons Ventura Gonzalez and wife Juana Acuna Coah, Mexico. Jose Luis Leyva and wife Maria San Angelo, TX. Juan Francisco Leyva and wife Dalia Acuna Coah, Mexico. Jesus Leyva, Jr. Acuna Coah, Mexico. Jesus Sanchez Leyva Liberal, KS. 1 Daughter Julia Leyva Liberal, KS. 2 Brothers Santos Leyva Acuna Coah, Mexico Jose Leyva Abilene, TX. 1 Sister Maria de la Cruz Abilene, TX. 10 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by his Parents and 1 Brother Marcos Leyva. Rosary and Vigil will be at 7:00 pm, Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, November 15th, with Fr. George Fajardo, presiding. Cremation will follow the Funeral Mass. There will be no public visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Jesus Leyva, Sr. Memorial Fund in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
