Jean Logsdon, 86, died Nov. 3, 2012 while receiving hospice care at Meadowlake Estates, in Oklahoma City. She was born Sept. 8, 1926 in Borger, TX, the daughter of Lex and Ethel (Cowan) Phillips. In 1945, she married Rex Joe Logsdon of Guymon, OK. He died Feb. 15, 1965. They made their home in Liberal and raised two daughters, Karen and Janet.Jean had worked in Liberal with Jim & Lavonne’s Flowers and also Reneau Jewelry. She was a former member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Order of Eastern Star and was active with Rainbow Girls. While living in Oklahoma City, she was a member of the Hillcrest Christian Church, and remained active until her health declined. She retired from geological bookkeeping and spent her retirement tending her life, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She stayed active with church activities. She will be missed so very deeply but will be pain free and in the company of her loved ones that went before her.She is survived by her Two daughters – Karen Logsdon Britton and husband Dale of Moore, OK;and Janet Logsdon Kilgore of Oklahoma, City, OK;Four Grandchildren - Cristine Peerson and husband David, Kelle Overand and husband Patrick, Rex Evans and wife Shelby, and Brad Evans.Six Great-grandchildren – Wesley Peerson, Kaylee and Shelby Overand, Nick, Lyla, and Myka Evans. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Honey. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister and by a great-granddaughter, Olivia Peerson. Graveside service will be 10:00 am Tuesday, Nov. 13th at Liberal Cemetery, Liberal, KS with Pastor Terry Ford presiding.Visitation and greeting of the family will be 9 – 9:45 am Tuesday at Brenneman Funeral Home.Memorial contributions are suggested to Cal Farley’s Boy Ranch in care of Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
