Ivan T. Cothron

Ivan Tazwell Cothron 58, died, Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015 at his residence in Liberal, KS. He was born Sept. 7, 1957 at Liberal, KS, the son of Edgar Ivan and Wilma Lucille (Hart) Cothron. He graduated with honors from Boys Ranch in Amarillo, TX. While attending school at the Boys Ranch, he was in the choir and rodeo. He had worked as an auto body repairman and also worked in the oilfield as a derrick hand and later was a truck driver for Swift. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and had a love for life. He had been married to Sandy Pruett.Survivors include:1 Daughter- Christie Lopez, Murrieta, CAMother- Wilma “Billie” Cothron, Liberal, KS 3 Brothers- Rick Hart and wife Molly, Portland, OR William Cothron, Sayre, OK Robert Cothron, Wichita, KS2 Sisters- Linda Cothron, Liberal, KS Luanna Cokeley and husband Mark, Brookeland, TXAnd several Grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his Father and Sister- Sherry Roach. Private family services will be held.
