Irene Esparza Ortega, 62, of Liberal, KS died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at her home in Liberal, KS She was born at Durango, Mexico on November 27, 1953, the daughter of Marcelino Esparza and Maria Melero. She married Gerardo Ortega on August 15, 1970 at Col. Independencia Namiquipa, Chihuahua, Mexico. He survives.Survivors Include4 Sons: Luis Gerardo Ortega Esparza of Liberal, KSOtoniel “Tony” Ortega Esparza and wife Victoria of New Castle, COUriel Ortega Esparza and wife Vicky of Liberal, KSSergio Ortega Esparza of Liberal, KS 4 Brothers4 Sisters6 GrandchildrenFuneral Mass will be 10 AM Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Fr. Jim Dieker presiding. Burial will be in Liberal Cemetery.Rosary will be held at 7 PM Friday, January 8 at the Brenneman Funeral Home.Visitation will be Friday 10 AM to 8 PM at Brenneman Funeral Home.Memorials contributions may be given to the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in care of Brenneman Funeral 1212 W. 2nd St. Liberal KS.
