Herbert Gerald Brady

Herbert Gerald Brady, age 79, died April 15, 2016 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS. He was born September 13, 1936 in Sand Springs, OK, the son of Austin and Vival (Gray) Brady. He was retired owner and operator of Brady Pumping Services, and had served in every facet of the oil field industry. He was devoted to his family. He was a member of the Liberal Elks Lodge and an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.On June 4, 1955, he married Joye Shurtz at Garden City, KS. She survives. Others survivors include:2 Sons: William Leon Brady and companion Paula, Erie, KS Michael Brady and wife Tiffany, Liberal, KS 2 Daughters: Glenda Bittner and husband Ted, Charlottesville, VAAnne Preston and husband Billy, Elk City, OK 2 Brothers Mick Brady and wife Janice, Parsons, KS Kevin Brady, Garden City, KS1 Sister Darlene Hulsman, Conroe, TX 10 Grandchildren: Heather Raines, Chad Bunn, Christopher Brady, Robby Preston, Stephanie Herndon, Austin Brady, Jacob Brady, Cheyenne Brady, Casey Widener and Courtney Widener. 7 Great-Grandchildren: Samantha, Bentley, Marena Joye, Lillian, Riley, Kayde and Summit. He was preceded in death by his Parents; 1 Son, Barry Brady; 4 Brothers, Elwayne, Earl, Keith and Stephan Brady; 2 Sisters, Barbara Wicks and Glenda Brady and 1 Granddaughter, LaDena Sesker.Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, in Liberal, with Pastor Terry Ford presiding. Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, KS.Visitation will be 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday with the family present from 6:00-7:00 p.m.at Brenneman Funeral Home to greet friends.
