Hector David Salgado

Hector David Salgado, age 53, died Friday, November 29, 2024, in Liberal, Kansas.

He was born on July 20, 1971, in La Junta, Colorado, to Procopio Salgado and Lucy Cazares. 

Hector completed his education through the 10th grade, enjoying his life where the simplest pleasures held the most meaning. He found delight in the rhythm of brake dancing and shared laughter during lively Bingo night. A devoted fan of the Denver Broncos, he often cheered for his beloved team. Hector enjoyed the serenity of his long walks around town. He was much loved by his family and friends and will be missed.

He is survived by his mother, Lucy Cazares, and

Father, Procopio Salgado,

two sons, Elijah Martinez, and

Xavier Martinez, both of Colorado,

Four brothers, Joseph “Benny” Trujillo of Denver, Colorado,

Adan Salgado of Pueblo, Colorado,

Jose Salgado of Denver, Colorado, and

Johnathan Salgado of Utah,

Three sisters, Yvette Trujillo and Michelle Salgado, both of Liberal, Kansas, and

Lupe Salgado of Pueblo, Colorado, and

Numerous nephews and nieces. 

Memorial Services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Iglesia de Fe y Restauracion / Church of Faith and Restoration, 513 North Lincoln, Liberal, Kansas.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, NAMI, in care of Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.
