Guerrero “Guerre” Michel, Jr., age 33, died on August 15, 2013 at Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita, KS.He was born November 4, 1979 in Melrose Park, IL, the son of Guerrero and Maria Victoria (Soto) Michel.He was a 1998 graduate of Liberal High School and he attended SW Kansas Technical School in Liberal to earn his CDL.He was a long-time employee of J-A-G Construction Co.He enjoyed being the life of the party, always smiling and dancing.He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He is survived by hisParents- Guerrero and Victoria Michel of Liberal;Brother- Jesus Michel of Liberal;2 Sisters- Celia Hernandez and husband Ciro of Liberal;Victoria Pavia of Liberal;Grandmother- Leandra Soto of Mexico;6 Nephews and Nieces- Lalito, Alexia, Angel, Joaquin, Caylee and NataliaHe was preceded in death by his Grandparents- Jorge and Celia Michel and Papa Lalo Soto and a Nephew- Alan. Vigil and Rosary will be 6:00 pm Sunday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Liberal.Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Monday at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Fr. Hector de la Vega presiding.Burial follow in Liberal Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 – 8 pm on Saturday and 1- 4 pm Sunday at Brenneman Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS.
