Guerrero G. Michel

Guerrero G. Michel, age72, died Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Good Samaritan Society in Liberal, Kansas. He was born on June 1, 1949, the son of Jorge Michel and Celia Guillen in Durango, Mexico. Guerrero married Maria V. Soto on February 20, 1977, in Durango, Mexico. Together they raised two sons, Jesus and Guerrero Jr. and two daughters, Victoria and Celia. Guerrero worked in production at National Beef for many years. He also delivered cars for the car dealerships around Liberal. Guerrero was a wonderful gardener raising flowers, vegetables, and trees. He loved being outdoors walking and counting his steps. He was a very proud and loving grandfather. He enjoyed his daily McDonald’s cokes. Survived by His son, Jesus Michel of Liberal, Kansas Daughters, Victoria and her husband Gustavo Hernandez and Celia and her husband Ciro Hernandez all of Liberal, Kansas Grandchildren Gerardo Pavia, Alexia M. Pavia, Angel F. Pavia, Joaquin S. Pavia, Natalia M. Hernandez, Cesar G. Hernandez, Victoria X. Hernandez, and Caylee A. Michel Brother of Rosario Barraza Michel, Manuel Michel Guillen, Guadalupe Heredia Michel, Jorge Luis Michel Guillen, Jose Natividad Michel Guillen, Natividad Sanchez Michel, Elvira Castro Michel, Carmen Michel Vargas, Juan Jose Michel Vargas, Victor Michel Vargas, Rosalva Michel Vargas, Javier Michel Vargas, Beatriz Michel Vargas Preceded in death by His wife, Maria Michel Son, Guerrero Michel Jr. Grandson, Alan G. Pavia Both parents, Jorge Michel and Celia Guillen and Sister, Hilda Michel Visitation will be 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Monday, May 9, 2022, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas. Rosary will follow at 7:00 PM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun, Liberal, Kansas with Rev. Juan Salas.
