Gregory James Montgomery

Gregory James Montgomery, 60, died March 16, 2018 in rural Beaver County, OK.
He was born on December 8, 1957 in Sidney, Nebraska, the son of Richard and Maxine (Stines) Hays.

Greg worked as a carpenter and a local handyman.
Greg enjoyed travel, the outdoors, visiting with friends, playing Keno, and practical jokes. He had a heart as big as the outdoors. Greg also loved his nieces and nephews. He was a great son, brother and uncle and had a kind soul.

Gregory was preceded in death by his Father, 1 brother, Michael Hays. He went to join the lord with his mother, Maxine Hays.


The family will be present to greet friends in fellowship on Thursday, March 29 from 6-8pm at the Brenneman Funeral Home. Memorial services will be Friday, March 30, at 2:00pm at the Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Terry Engler presiding. A private family burial will follow. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Children Hospital or the Grant County Community Foundation, in care of Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W 2nd St. Liberal, KS 67901.
