Gerald “Jerry” Lee Kurth, age 79, died Monday, September 20, 2021, at his home in Liberal, Kansas. He was born on December 23, 1941, the son of Alva Kurth and Beulah Mae Elmore in Los Angles, California. Jerry attended 2 years at the Roswell Military Academy and graduated Liberal High School in 1959 and then graduated 2 years of Technical School. On August 16, 1986, he married Tammie Elaine Lee, his wife of 33 years, until her death on August 3, 2019. Jerry was a big John Wayne fan and enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, collecting western memorabilia, and watching westerns. Jerry worked for Panhandle Eastern for 39 years. He started as a mail clerk and worked his way up to an Electrician. Survived by: Sons, Bret (Micara) Kurth of Big Cabin, Oklahoma Jerron Kurth of Liberal, Kansas Daughter, Lisa Matile of Edmond, Oklahoma Brother, Robert Kurth of Liberal, Kansas Sister, Janice Sue (Robert) Creamer of Michigan Beloved nephew, John Kurth 11 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Tammy Kurth Both his parents, Alva and Beulah Mae Kurth and Daughter, Brandee Kurth Mohamed A Private Family Service was held.
