Fred L. Kilgore

Fred L. Kilgore, 75 died August 27, 2011 at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City, KS. He was born October 13, 1935 in Tahoka, TX, the son of Raymond and Dona (Quarrels) Kilgore.He was a long time Liberal resident and has resided in Lincoln, NE, Jackson, MS and Hutchinson, KS.He was a truck driver for Engel Oil Company from 1965-1978 and Yellow Freight from 1978-2003. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.On January 2, 1955, he married Ann Forbes in Clayton, NM. She survives.Other survivors include1 Son Ken Kilgore and wife Sheila Liberal, KS1 Daughter Theresa Gibbs and husband Tony Noblesville, IN 1 Sister Betty Atwater and husband Lee Pine, AZ 3 Grandchildren Eric Gibbs and wife Heather, Kenny Kilgore and wife Kacie and Haley Gibbs.3 Great-Grandchildren Connor and Mason Gibbs, Luke Kilgore and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents, 1 Infant son, 2 Brothers R.L. Kilgore, Sr., and Dan Kilgore and 1 Sister Hazel Mann.Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday August 31, 2011 at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Randall presiding. Inurnment will follow at Liberal Cemetery. A register book will be available to sign from 9 am to 5 pm Tuesday, Aug. 30th, at Brenneman Funeral Home.
