Elvin Eduardo Ponce, 17, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL.He was born December 27, 1993 at Los Angeles, CA, the son of Ramon Medina and Dulce Maria Ponce.Elvin had been a student at Washington Pre-school, Garfield and MacArthur Elementary and Cottonwood Intermediate Schools in Liberal, KS through the 6th grade. He moved to Miami in 2005.Currently, he was a student at Booker T. Washington Senior High School in Miami, FL.He is survived by his parentsBrothers: Juan Carlos Ponce of Garden City, KS Jose Leonardo Ponce of Liberal, KS Jorge Luis Ponce of Liberal, KSSister: Dulce Johanna Ponce Pineda of Liberal, KSRosary will be 7:00 pm Wednesday, April 13th at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Liberal.Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Thursday, April 14th at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Fr. Enrique Estrada presiding. Burial will follow at Liberal Cemetery.Visitation will be 9 am -12 Noon Wednesday at Brenneman Funeral Home and 1:30 – 5:00 pm at St. Anthony Catholic Church.
