Dustin Lane Bigham

Dustin (Bud) Lane Bigham, age 36, died very suddenly on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 in Greensburg, Kansas.

He was born on September 22, 1982 in Pampa, Texas to Rick Bigham and Pam Soukup.

He graduated from Wichita Heights in Wichita, Kansas in 2001. He then attended Wichita State College, Emporia College and Seward County Community College.

Bud married Kelli Young in Liberal, Kansas on December 31, 2005.

He was employed at C F Service and Supply as a supervisor. Bud was a devoted husband, father, brother, son, uncle, great uncle and best friend to Kelli. He was a lifetime loyal friend and much loved brother of Josh Gilmore.

He found great joy in sports and this led him to not only coach his children but other youth in the community. He loved to play golf and poker and was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns and the Fort Hays State Tigers.

Bud will be remembered by many for his big heart, his willingness to help others and his contagious laugh.

Sisters Daphne Brown and her Husband Chris of Hays, KS and Darcy McDowell of Andover, KS. Sister-in-law Stephanie Hall of Valley Center, KS and Brother-in-law Bret Young his wife Denita of Dodge City, KS. Step-sister Courtney Davis and her husband Matt of Wichita, KS.

A beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews and to great nephews Izayah & Asher.

Bud was preceded in death by his grandparents Peggy and Alvin Soukup, Grandfather Claude Bigham and Grandmother-in-law Joyce Young.

Visitation is set for Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 9:00am to 8:00pm at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 West 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 23, 2019 at 11:00am at the First Presbyterian Church, 1551 North Western Avenue, Liberal, Kansas with Reverend Jeff Mitchell presiding.

In loving memory of Bud, support for his children’s education fund, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the Dustin Bigham’s Children’s Education Fund and left at Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Street, Liberal, KS 67901. Bud loved his children and would appreciate this support.
