Dorothy Mae Harris

Dorothy Mae Harris 89, died, Thursday, July 4, 2013 at her residence in Liberal, KS.She was born October 18, 1923 in Englewood, CO. the daughter of William and Dorothy McMahon. She was a longtime resident of Liberal and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, DAR, and PEO. She enjoyed Knitting, Cross Stitching, and Needle Point. On April 2, 1948 she married Dr. Norvan Harris in Wichita, KS. He died August 14, 2011. Survivors include2 Sons Van Harris and wife Cheryl Augusta, KS William D. Harris and wife Charmaine Meade, KS 2 Daughters Cynthia Perry and husband Mike Houston, TX Janet Harris Quinter, KS1 Sister Marion Becker Wichita, KS5 Grandchildren Hillerie Fitzgerald, Garret Perry, Cameron Perry, Ryan Harris and John Harris1 Great Grandchild Reid HarrisPreceded in death by her parents. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Randall presiding. Burial will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Bird City Cemetery, Bird City, KS with Rev. Thomas Bailey presiding. Visitation time will be 1- 5 pm Sunday and 9am to service time Monday. The casket will remain closed.In lieu of flowers and plants memorial contributions can be sent to the Norvan and Dorothy Harris Scholarship at Ft.
