Dorothy Ann Adkison, Age 66, departed this life on Monday, July 1, 2019, at the Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas. She was born February 12, 1953 in Grady Arkansas the daughter of the late Ashley Austin and Ruby Lee Mack Alexander.
Dorothy attended grade school in Grady, and High school in Dumas Arkansas.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Paul Adkison, Jr. on November 13, 1992.
They were married for 26 years.
She had a passion for Jesus Christ and was a devoted teacher of the Gospel. She was a member of the Try God Ministry, a Sunday school teacher an Evangelist and served as church treasurer.
Dorothy loved to go to the zoo, color and cook. Dorothy was an avid reader of her Bible.
She was employed at Wal-Mart as a supervisor in the health and beauty department, at ResCare as direct staff and Washington Elementary as a teacher’s aide.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Paul Adkison, daughters, Lesa Mosley, Linda Mosley-Raggins (Timothy), Latonya Mosley-Ryan, Latrice Miles-Evans, and Latasha Adkison; siblings: Mary Cobbs, Linda Green, Bessie Lewis, and Lemond Lewis; Eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her siblings: Elizabeth Alexander Walker, Diane Alexander Johnson, and Michael Joe Huggins.
