Dennis Hunter Chase

August 2, 1966 — May 12, 2020

Dennis Hunter Chase, 53, died on May 12, 2020 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He was born on August 2, 1966 in Taiwan, China. He was the son of Charles F. Chase and Kuo Hán-Hsiao.

On July 17, 2010 he married Nancy Garcia in Liberal Kansas. She survives.

Dennis worked as for the Food Safety and Inspection Service of the USDA as a food inspector.

He loved his family and it was important to him to always protect his family. He loved his wife’s cooking and never complained about what she fixed, but mostly he enjoyed soups even in the warm summer. Dennis was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Every year, Dennis’ mother, Han, gathered the family for their reunion. Once again, Dennis was always pleased to eat his mother’s special Asian cooking. He would call his mother, every Sunday, to check in and make sure Grandpa Cliff and Grandma Han were doing ok. Genevieve was always included on those special calls. Family was very important to Dennis, his favorite pastimes were being with his children; grandchildren; brothers and sisters; nieces and nephews; his parent whether it was going to the zoo or riding the train the common theme was always family, love and fun together.
