Dale Keith Sutton, age 91, died Friday, May 1, 2020, at Pioneer Manor in Hugoton Kansas.
He was born June 7, 1928 in El Dorado Kansas, the son of Willis and Lottie (Harvey) Sutton.
He attended High School in Utica, Kansas and joined the Navy with his parents’ permission as a 17-year-old. His Mother accepted his diploma at his high school graduation ceremony in 1946 Dale served from 1946 to 1948. He then attended Ft. Hays State University for a short time after completing his service in the Navy.
Dale married Lola Harnden November 21, 1954 at the Methodist Church in Liberal, Kansas. A loving union of 66 years.
Dale worked for Northern Natural Gas, for 35 years in the field, office and as plant supervisor. He also was a Farmer and was the Maintenance & Grounds Keeper for the Hugoton USD 210 School District.
His wife Lola survives him in Hugoton, Kansas.
He was the beloved father of Linda Barnes and her husband Richard, Sonja Watkins and her husband Kevin both of Hugoton and Stuart Sutton and his wife Julie of Payne Springs, Texas.
Dale was the proud Grandfather of 4 Grandchildren Sharly (Seth) Seiler, Keith (Hannah) Sutton, Cordell Barnes, Caleb Gayer. 3 Great Grandchildren Haze, Rozzlynn and Scarlett Seiler.

Dale was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother Max Sutton, Sisters Marilyn Sutton, Darlene Sutton and Lois Sutton, one infant grandson Cole Gayer.
Both the visitation and funeral service will be at the Hornung Family Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is Tuesday, May 5, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a ten in and ten out rotation of guests. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at 11:00AM with Reverend Keith Anglemyer Presiding. In order to be admitted to the funeral home for the funeral service you must present a ticket. Tickets will be given to the family to distribute. Interment will be in the Hugoton Cemetery. A Graveside Service will be at 1:00 PM, a ticket is not required for the graveside service, however social distancing will be required.
Attendance at services will follow CDC guidelines and the Governor's re-opening phase 1 guidelines, in that 10 or more people are allowed if social distancing can be maintained. This is for safety and the best interest of everyone’s health; we encourage use of social media to offer condolences and support to the family in lieu of attending.
