Dale Eugene Sprague

Dale Eugene Sprague, 78, died Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Swedish Medical Center in Denver.
He was born on October 16, 1939 in Liberal, KS, the son of Clayton E. and Ida Lee (Wright) Sprague.
He graduated from Liberal High School in 1957. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma Panhandle State University in 1962, and his Masters from Oklahoma University in 1967. He worked as a math teacher for USD 480, where he retired in 1994.

On January 9, 1960, he married Anita Watkins in Goodwell, OK. She survives.

Dale was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Fargo Lodge #300, Liberal Early Risers Kiwanis Club, Retired Teachers Association, Midian Shrine, Scottish and York Rites, National Council of Math Teachers, Liberal NEA, Kansas NEA, OU Alumni and Panhandle State University Alumni.

He served in Kanas Army Reserve from 1957 to 1965.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 Sister Faye H. Butler and 1 Brother-in-law Joe Butler.

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be at 2:00pm Saturday, December 9 at the First United Methodist Church, Liberal, KS with Pastor Keith Anglemyer presiding. Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
