Betty Jo Powell

Betty Jo Powell (Tayrien,) Age 88, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at her home in Liberal, Kansas.
She was born June 26, 1929 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, The daughter of Francis and Beulah (Morris) Tayrien
Betty Graduated from High School in Pawhuska Oklahoma. She received an AA Degree in Nursing Science in Garden City Kansas and received her Registered Nursing Certificate in 1976. Betty was an RN at South West Medical Center for many years. She married Claude Vernon Powell on July 9, 1949 in Ulysses, Kansas. Claude preceded her in death on June 21, 1998.

She had many hobbies that she enjoyed including crocheting, quilting and embroidery.

Betty was also preceded in death by Her Husband Claude, and her Parents.
Visitation will be from 1pm to 7pm, Friday, October 20, 2017, at Brenneman Funeral Home. The family will be present to greet friends from 6-7pm.
Funeral Services will be 10:00am Saturday, October 21 at Brenneman Funeral Home with Rev. David Hoffman presiding. Burial to follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
