Barbara Ruth Poarch

Barbara Ruth Poarch 85, died Thurs., October 4, 2012 at Belvedere Commons in Franklin, TN. She was born Sept. 15, 1927 in Watonga, Oklahoma the daughter of Warren B. and Grace (Burgin) Scott. She had been a resident of Liberal since 1953. She had worked in the medical offices of Dr. Campion, Dr. Rathburn and Dr. Allen. She retired in 1992.She was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ.On Feb. 3, 1945 she married Valgean Poarch in Jacksonville, Florida. He died Jan. 18, 1983.Survivors include1 Son Michael Poarch Franklin Tennessee1 Half brother Wayne Scott Ft. Worth, TX1 Half sister Phyllis Humphrey Watonga, OK4 Grandchildren Julie Bredesen, Mary Katherine Maloy , Edward A. Poarch, and Valery Jean Poarch1 Great Grandchild Kaitlin Christine MarraFuneral Service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday Oct 13, 2012 at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ with Pastor Terry Ford presiding.
