Barbara Weaver Knowlton

Barbara Weaver Knowlton, 95, died Sunday March 28, 2021 in Topeka, Kansas.

She was born July 14, 1925 in Columbus, Ohio, to the Rev. Canon Harold James and Margaret Weaver.

She married Gilbert Lee Knowlton on December 1, 1951 in Torrington, Wyoming. He preceded her in death in 1998.

A longtime resident of Liberal she was involved with her church St. Andrews Episcopal and was a member of PEO. Barbara worked in the family business until 2000 when she retired and moved to St John. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother Jim Weaver, and sister Margaret Jutkins, and son Jim Knowlton.

Survivors include son Dick and wife Barb Knowlton Las Vegas, Nevada. Grandchildren Angela and husband Mark Jackson Abilene Texas. Mike and wife Staci Knowlton Montgomery, Texas. Maggie and husband Cody Richardson Spring Hill, Kansas. Frances and husband Rich Liberti Las Vegas, Nevada. and several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Sisters, Diane Smith, Springdale Arkansas, Mary Florence Brinton, Topeka Kansas. and Janet Ohlemeier and husband Bill, Topeka, Kansas.

Interment will take place at the Liberal Cemetery with a graveside service on April 14 at 10 a.m.

Memorials to St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Liberal, Kansas in care of Hornung Family Funeral Home.
