Bailey B. Welker, age 72, died Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas.
He was born on June 24, 1948 the son of Gerald D. Welker and Katie K. Friesen Welker in Dodge City, Kansas.
Bailey received his education in Meade, Kansas.
He was in the Army and served in Korea during the Vietnam Era.
On June 3, 2000, he married Faith LeAnn Damron at Lake Murray, Oklahoma. Bailey was the proud father of three daughters, Jamie, Leslie and Lacei. He drove a truck for National Carriers and Nash Finch for many years. Bailey loved the Rail Road and his first home was a box car. His favorite pastimes included fishing, boating and camping. Bailey also enjoyed classic cars and was the proud owner of a black ’63 SS Impala 409.

His wife, Faith Welker.
Three daughters, Jamie and husband, Jerrod Anderson of Hugoton, Kansas
Leslie and husband, Troy Kruger of Topeka, Kansas
And Lacei and husband, Roger Frechette of The Colony, Texas
Six grandchildren, Morgan Anderson, Max Anderson, Lukas Kruger, Talia Kruger, Jason Smith and his fiancée, MaKenna Bickford and Nathaniel Frechette.
Preceded in death by both his parents, Gerald and Katie Welker.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Friday, February 26, 2021 at
Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901 with interment to follow at Restlawn Cemetery in Liberal.
