Avis Ausmus, 88, died Thursday, Feb 10, 2011 at Beaver County Nursing Home, Beaver, OK.She was born Dec. 31, 1922 in Texas County, OK, the daughter of Elmer and Nettie (Copland) Shores. She was a 1941 graduate of Guymon High School, Guymon, OK. On January 17, 1942, she married Charley C. Ausmus at Liberal, KS. He died on Dec. 30, 1992.Avis and her husband resided in Beaver County for 38 years before retiring in Mesa, AZ.Survivors include:3 Daughters – Diane Bond and husband Charles of Laverne, OKBarbara Robins and husband David of Norman, OKCharlene Plett and husband Dan of Liberal, KS 8 Grandchildren – Jennifer Whitworth, Marcus Newby, Sheila Price, Darren Bond, Aaron Robins, Melissa Robins, Chance Plett and Spencer Plett; 14 Great-Grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, 2 Brothers- Hollis Shores and Howard Shores, a Sister- Hazelle Peterson and 2 Nieces – Linda Shores Chambers and Sherry Shores Black. Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, Feb 12th at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel in Liberal, KS with Rev. Stan Lehnert presiding.
