Alvaro MarquezPerez

Alvaro Marquez Perez, age 43, died Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal, Kansas.

He was born on April 29, 1977 the son of Jose Angel Marquez and Rafaela Perez in Zacatecas, Mexico.

Alvaro married Esperanza Garcia on January 17, 1999 in Liberal, Kansas.

Alvaro worked for National Beef in maintenance. Alvaro was a man full of life he
was very caring and he was very open minded. His favorite hobby was to make
furniture out wood and he was very a handy man anything that needed fixing he was the man.
He never liked seeing his family sad, especially not his daughters and wife.
He was the light of the room his jokes and puns were enough to cheer up
anyone in the room. Alvaro was a great Father, Brother, Son, and Uncle.
He will be missed, Rest In Peace.

His beloved wife, Esperanza Marquez, of 22 years
His son, Alvaro Marquez Garcia Jr and
Two daughters, Alexia and Glitzy Marquez, all of Liberal

One brother, Jose Angel and wife Maria Marquez also of Liberal

Seven sisters, Maria de los Angeles of Mexico
Juanita and Rafaela Marquez both of California
Lucrecia Marquez of Dodge City, Kansas
Cuca, Margarita and Elana Marquez all of Wisconsin

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Jose Angel Marquez and Rafaela Perez.

Visitation will be 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901. Rosary will follow at 7:00 PM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun Avenue Liberal, Kansas.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Thursday, February 4, 2021 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1510 N. Calhoun Avenue. Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery Liberal, Kansas.
